Being an Independent Winemaker means cultivating your own vines, making wine in your own cellar, and selling your wine while sharing your passion. The collective brand “Independent Winemaker” embodies committed, authentic, and human viticulture. Recognized by its logo, it promotes the diversity of terroirs and the unique expertise of the men and women who make their wines from start to finish. Guaranteeing a direct relationship between producers and consumers, it has always championed authentic wines and personalities.
Buying a wine labeled “Vigneron Indépendant” (Independent Winemaker) is a committed act! Behind this label are several thousand French winemakers who cultivate their vines, vinify, and market their wines themselves. It is a sign of recognition for consumers seeking authentic vintages and ancestral know-how. It means supporting the men, women, and families who make their wine from start to finish on their own estates. It means prioritizing artisanal quality, terroir diversity, and the local economy. Discerning consumers recognize this logo as a mark of authenticity: a wine with a true story and a direct link to the winemaker.
